Boom, colour!

I have been trying to get out of a rut by messing with some coloured pencils. More scribbles below the cut.

There are dead magpies in the freezer

One of my housemates has recently discovered a love for taxidermy that has lead to a freezer draw being dedicated to housing an assortment of dead things. There's some lovely roadkill, wrapped in plastic bags, nestled between bags of Quorn and frozen peas.

These are the newest additions to the family; a pair of magpies that we got together. Both of the birds were killed for pest control, not specifically for taxidermy.

One of them is in slightly worse condition than the other. Its head is a bit mangled and there are a few bald patches. Not to mention the big hole in it's neck from getting shot. Once we have purchased the necessary equipment (forms, stuffing, plastic eyes etc) we will attempt the slightly uglier one first so it's less of a loss if it gets ruined.

April A - Z: Fireside

It's getting warmer and the sun is up for longer so i've been drinking a lot of Mulled Wine tea and bought this candle the other day.

It smells like wood smoke which is a candle scent that i have wanted for such a long time now. Everything should small like wood smoke. Forever.You can get them from Rosy Rings. The Earl Grey one is also great and Antique Clove is high on the list of ones to get in the future. Not that i need any more candles or anything. Nope.

At the moment i'm actually kind of looking forward to it being warmer but soon enough it will just be a countdown to Winter again.
